Start by applying the fragrance after you’ve showered or washed your skin. Fresh skin helps the scent last longer and stay vibrant. When you’re ready to apply, target areas known as pulse points—these are places where the blood vessels are close to the surface of the skin, so they naturally warm up the fragrance and help it diffuse. Focus on your neck (especially the sides and under your ears), wrists (but avoid rubbing them together), the inside of your elbows, behind your knees, and even your chest if you're wearing a shirt that exposes part of it.
Hold the bottle about six to eight inches from your skin, and give a light mist—one to three spritzes should be plenty. Don’t apply too much, as Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Homme is a fresh, subtle scent, and you don’t need to overdo it. After spraying, don’t rub your wrists or the sprayed areas together. Rubbing can break down the fragrance and make it smell different than intended. Instead, let the scent naturally settle on your skin.
If you want the fragrance to last even longer, you can also lightly spray your hair. Hair holds fragrance well, but be cautious not to over-spray, as it can sometimes absorb too much scent. Avoid spraying directly on your clothes because fragrances can stain or leave marks, especially on darker fabrics. It’s best to apply perfume directly to your skin, where it can interact with your body’s natural oils.
For longevity, it helps to moisturize your skin before applying the fragrance. Dry skin doesn’t hold scent as well, so an unscented lotion or body cream can help your fragrance last longer. If you find that you need to refresh the scent during the day, carry a travel-size bottle with you to reapply when needed.
With these steps, you should be able to enjoy the fresh, woody notes of your Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Homme fragrance all day long!
