Streptococcus salivarius subsp. salivarius is a beneficial microorganism that is naturally present in the oropharynx and is therefore a member of the oral microflora.
The probiotic strain Streptococcus salivarius K12 (known as BLIS ® K12) is used to restore normal oropharyngeal bioavailability. It produces two bacteriocins:

Salivaricin A2
Salivaricin B

Which can inhibit the growth of bacteria and other pathogenic strains responsible for bacterial pharyngitis, acute otitis media and halitosis.
Bactoblis® has been studied and documented for several years through clinical studies. Specifically, in studies conducted in adults with recurrent pharyngitis, Bactoblis ® reduced pharyngeal and tonsil infection events by approximately 84% after 3 months of treatment.

More specifically it achieves:
Over 90% reduction in pharyngitis bacterial infections
Over 80% reduction in viral mouth infections
About 50% reduction in acute otitis media
