Evening primrose is a plant rich in elements with natural estrogenic action that can be used with good results in premenstrual syndrome and menopause.

Its name in Latin is Oenothera biennis. An annual herbaceous plant, native to North America, it now grows in many temperate regions of the world. It is sub-spontaneous in several areas of the continent.
It belongs to the Onagraceae family, and the oil from its seeds is used. This oil consists of oil with glyceric esters of fatty acids (oleic, linoleic, α-linolenic (GLA), palmitic, stearic), phytosterols and carotenoids.

It has the following properties:

- Reduces common disorders in the so-called premenstrual syndrome (hot flashes, irritability, breast tension, etc.)
- Helps regulate cholesterol levels
- Helps regulate blood pressure
- Antiplatelet agent
- Prevents arteriosclerosis and thromboembolism
- Has an antioxidant effect, specifically inhibiting cholesterol oxidation
- Useful in osteoporosis and rheumatism
- Plays an important role in anti-inflammatory processes
- Beneficial action on the skin, particularly when it is dry or wounded
- Atopic eczema and neurodermatitis
Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose, Seed Oil Containing At Least 10% Gla), Gelatin, Glycerin, Dl-alpha-tocopherol.
