The liquid eyeliner’s formula is based on water (aqua) combined with butylene glycol which helps to deliver smooth application and supports the suspension of pigments in the liquid. The intense black colour comes from ci 77266 (nano) or black 2 pigment that gives a deep black appearance. Polymers such as styrene/acrylates/ammonium methacrylate copolymer help provide waterproof properties and adhesion to the skin. The formula also features peg‑60 hydrogenated castor oil to support even distribution of the product, along with phenoxyethanol and coco‑glucoside which act as preservative and gentle surfactant respectively. Potassium sorbate, citric acid, sodium laureth‑12 sulfate and sodium benzoate help maintain formula stability, and ammonium hydroxide is used to adjust pH. Iodopropynyl butylcarbamate is included as a preservative to help keep the liquid stable.
