How does it work?
When the skin has imperfections, it’s easy to think that sunshine will help fade them and leave a healthy glow in their place. Instead, after a period of sun exposure, the skin worsens: this is the rebound effect.
UV rays dry the skin but stimulate sebum production. As the skin thickens, sebum accumulates and blocks the pores. After sun exposure, the skin returns to its original thickness and the sebum and bacteria become trapped. Spots, blackheads and enlarged pores return.
Moreover, whether skin is exposed to the sun in summer or winter, the sun’s rays aggravate imperfections and increase the risk of pigment marks and spots.
