Before using it for the first time, wash the sponge carefully by dipping it in water several times and squeezing it gently between your hands. A Konjac sponge soaked in water (or with a bit of facial cleansing product) and squeezed out should be gently cleansed on the face with circular movements.
After use, the sponge should be rinsed, squeezed gently and hung to dry on a string in a dry and warm place. Do not place the sponge in damp conditions, as it may become moldy or rot - it is a natural product, without preservatives! The lifespan of a Konjac sponge is approximately 1-3 months. When it starts to look worn, crack or crumble, replace it with a new one. The old one can be thrown into the compost or placed at the bottom of the pot to retain moisture for the plant.
