Treatment of anxiety, bad mood St John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) also known as sword grass or asparagus or balsam grass is a shrub herb that has strong antidepressant, sedative and analgesic effects.

It is also helpful in mood swings during menopause.
The dietary supplement St. John's Wort Herb Extract by Solgar has: Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties.
Antidepressant properties can help positively in situations of nervous tension and anxiety.
To this daysit is mainly used to improve the symptoms of depression.

St. John’s Wort Powder (Hypericum perforatum) (aerial) 300 mg providing Standardized St. John’s Wort Extract (Hypericum perforatum) (aerial) (hypericin 0.5 mg [0.3%]) 175 mg.

Does not contains: sugar, salt, yeast, corn, wheat, gluten, soy, dairy and animal products, and does not use preservatives, artificial flavors or colors.

1 capsule daily preferably to be taken with meals.

Contraindications:

St. John's Wort makes the skin more sensitive to light.
People with light skin should avoid exposure to sunlight and other sources of ultraviolet radiation such as artificial tanning.
It should not be used concomitantly with antidepressants or anesthetics.
The Committee for the Safety of Medicines advises St. John's wort should not be used simultaneously with various medicines without the approval of the treating physician.
